Open Mic Night 22nd May 2019
Another great Open Mic Night last Wednesday! Fantastic audience participation with singing and dancing led as always by great performances on the stage. We welcomed Buster visiting from the Isle of Wight and the film features three clips of his performances. We had a dozen acts and a full finale. See the clip video - click on the article title above.

Open Mic Night 24th April 2019
Another excellent Open Mic Night last Wednesday. Fewer performers than of late but that gave the opportunity for four numbers from each act if they wished. Video attached. We captured clips from all and a couple from some. We also filmed the finale in full. Unfortunately our experiment of starting at 7:30 has not worked as not enough performers or audience turned up for the earlier start over the last two sessions. Therefore the next Open Mic on 22nd May will revert back to 8pm. Enjoy the video!

Open Mic Night 27th March 2019
Video of the Open Mic Night on 27th March now available on the link below. it's a bit longer than last month's as we were able to show a few more seconds from each act and it includes clips from Joey and Callum's encore and the finale.
The 7:30 start nearly worked and we were able to start at 7:45. We didn't have quite enough performers in the early few minutes and if we want to continue with the earlier start we need a few more to be ready to play from 7:30. However, with all that said, it was another great, very enjoyable night.

Open Mic Night 27th February 2019
Open Mic Night on 27th February was a great success with 16 acts performing. There was a good variety of different music. We have taken a 60 second clip of every act and they have been stitched together in a 16 minute film that gives a good flavour of the evening. Open Mic Night start time has changed
Open Mic Night start time will change from and including the 27th March 2019. We have recently seen a very welcome increase in the number of acts wanting to perform. We have been considering a change over the last couple of months so in order to make things easier for all, the new start time will be 7:30pm.
Open Mic Night 23rd January 2019
Open Mic Night on 23rd January had a much smaller audience than usual. It was freezing cold out so that probably explained it. However, we had about 14 acts and the performers enjoyed themselves immensely. We were able to take quite a few video clips and they have been stitched together in a 19 minute film. Open Mic Night is back after Christmas break
Open Mic Night is back after the Christmas break on the usual 4th Wednesday of each month. The next Open Mic is on 23rd January 2019 followed by another on the 27th February 2019. Usual venue, Royal British Legion, Dymchurch at 8pm.

Christmas is coming and as Boxing Day falls on the fourth Wednesday of the month, there will be no Open Mic Night in December. The next Open Mic will be on 23rd January 2019.
To make it easier to accommodate all the acts we may start at 7:30pm. This has yet to be confirmed and we'll let you know.

Excellent open mic night last night. Great performances and as usual an enthusiastic audience. Click on the article title to view 5 videos from the evening. A couple of goodbyes - Caravan Bob and his wife Nettie return to London until March as their summer season in Dymchurch is over for this year. We look forward to seeing them next year. Also, Ken Smith is leaving the area for pastures new and we wish him well for the future. Finally we celebrated Bev's birthday and thanked her for all the work she does in running the raffle (and keeping Bill in order!). The next Open Mic night is 28th November.
